Do you earn income that’s subject to Canadian taxation? Then you can contribute to an RRSP. Contributions can be made until the end of the year of the year in which you turn 71.If you aren’t taxable, you should still consider filing a tax return on your income to create RRSP deduction room.
If you’re married, you can contribute to a plan in your spouse’s name and still be entitled to the tax deduction.
